My family draws names for Christmas gifts, I luckily drew my nephew this year instead of my niece or sister in law. The gifts are supposed to be under $40. My nephew is an avid hunter about 30 years old. Let’s hear some good gift ideas.

Look at what he has, ask gently about what he needs, and when in doubt give money placed in a surprise well locked magic box as per link above.

Outdoor edge - replaceable blade knife. $25 - $40 online. My local sporting goods store has the $35. I bet you could find knife and extra blades for about $40. It's like a Havalon but much stronger/secure blades and easier to replace.

Agree on a Havalon or Outdoor Edge replaceable blade knife. Be sure to get an orange or bright colored handle on it. I don't think any hunter in the history of hunting has benefited from a camo knife. The only one who benefits is the knife company when it gets set down or dropped and can't be found.

Assuming he uses trail cams, how bout an SD card reader that plugs directly into his phone or tablet . Makes data collection easy and no need to switch out cards. Mine was Apple and its 30$

My question; Is he your favorite nephew?

Oh come on...why not just blow him away and buy him a really nice pair of Binos. Yeah it will cost you...but you will floor everyone at the gift exchange....AND be his favorite uncle after that.

Sawyer mini Water filter. Rmef membership usually $35. Sometimes includes a nice free gift like a knife set. Eastman’s bow hunting about the same. Two pairs smart wool socks. Six mountain house meals... I could go on and on ;-)

We're having a Christmas sale where you can buy a trail camera theft deterrent band, a SD Card Guardian and a combo pack including a tag Guardian and license Guardian for $35.99. Heck of a savings off regular prices on useful hunting equipment. Should be on guardian angels.com by Friday. Gary
