Good morning Orion Brothers. I am on my way to my favorite tree stand as the deer movement has shifted from the night to the day for the past 2 or 3 days slowly but surely. I have been registered movements during the day between the hours of 8 until 12 to noon coinciding with the Moon being under around those times.

Six - good luck out there today, supposed to a balmy day! Keep us posted on your progress and I'd love to hear that the deer are moving.

I just had a yearling hanging around at 50+ yards, way out of reach for a long bow. SSW wind at 5mph, 45* F, humid but cool. I am waiting for a mature doe, an 8 pointer, or a 6 pointer. Quiet for now after the skipper walked by. Not even a squirrel.

I am hunting with a reflex reflex 62 inches long bow I picked up a month ago at an estate sale for $250. The GoldTip arrow 31.5 inches long, tipped with a Zwickey 2 blade broadhead weighs 580 grains.

The moon is under at 9am. Squirrels are going nuts around me. The skipper is mulling around at about 125 yards. Sky is completely cloudy now .

I have movement about 100 yards away. 2 deer slowly moving towards my location.

5 minutes left and they are still about 54 yards. I am just going to watch them walk by after sunset. They take too long between steps because the wind which makes them act cautiously.
