New to site. Has anyone hunted unit 24 wy...thinking rifle, with buying bow stamp. Info or ideas appreciated,

Unless you have the max 12 PPs for 2018 there is no way you'll draw unit 24. Last year with the max of 11PPs it was only a 61.54% draw rate in the Regular PP Draw and 85.71% in the Special higher priced Draw. The 2 tags in the Random Draw had 256 people that applied as first choice, so you can do the math on that one.

No one with max points put in the special for 24 last year. The 85.71% odds were with max -1 (10 points). Looks like they cut tags from 2016.

I drew/hunted it this year, be happy to help out a bowsiter, just send me a PM. I drew it regular draw, one less than max. Think I was randomly lucky.

I've hunted that unit many times.(I'm an old goat). Was much easier to draw back when they didn't have points as a non resident. Feel free to PM me. KC

I'm really interested in 24 as well. I've hunted antelope north of Green mountain and stayed at the campground there. Elk were coming into the campground at night and bugling. Was really cool. Seems like a nice unit, easy on the legs compared to 22 Ferris mountains which is damn near straight up and down. I've no doubt 22 has bigger bulls, but reaching them might kill me, lol.
