If you don’t have some of this in your kit I highly recommend you get some. Great for fixing tears in fabric. I had a tear in a puffy that was hemorrhaging feathers. A piece of that tape and it’s real hard to find the tear.

+1, I patched a small hole in a raft at the beginning of a 80 mile raft trip and it held the whole trip, it is always in my pack!!

Has anyone tried it to fix a tear in canvas (tent)? How has it held-up in hot temperatures? Does the glue start to get sticky and detach in heat, making it a big mess?

Rock-I used the tear aid (for vinyl I think) on a bike seat years ago and it has worked tremendously. I had gotten a sample and thought it would work for a short term fix. That stuff is awesome.

While I agree that a man needs duct tape there is no comparison between the two!

Canvas tent. Some of the outdoor sun-resistant Shoe Goo or Goop and any cloth you want to use. It will stiffen over time, but hold forever.

Has anyone tried it to fix a tear in canvas (tent)?

I used an iron-on denim patch [the one used for ripped knees in jeans] Stuck like hell and didnt leak

I've used it on tents and a puffy as well. It appears to be a permanent solution.

I fixed a small tear in my Kuiu rain gear on my moose hunt last year with gorilla tape and it held pretty well. Is this stuff a better solution, in your opinions?

TT is the best. Ive used it countless times from tents to my truck.
