Rain came through yesterday and got rid of the snow. 50 degrees this morning and dropping all day. Got here around 2. Its getting cold, steady 10-15 out of the west. Beautiful afternoon. Certainly can't top off the freezer from my couch!

I think that thingamajig is a starlight supernock, also called nock fobs.

I knew a few guys in TX that swore by them

Fobs are great, great arrow flight, simple to "re-fletch"

how does that contraption pass by a rest and riser

From: osageghost

Need a drop away rest, no problem with riser clearance

I believe those are FOB's. They are fletching that slide onto the arrow snug, and hold on just in front of the nock. They use the circle and little vertical (slightly helical I think) wings inside the circle to provide stabilizing surface area like fletching. You have to use a drop away rest with them. But if you get a pass through they pop off and you have a nice little marker.

I've pondered them on and off over the years, and MRW and I both are on the MA page... So I've seen him enjoy those things for years now.

(That's (MA page) the best, most awesome, fantastic state forum on bowsite. All reasonable hunters who can agree to disagree and discuss a wide range of things - and always offer help. From solar farms to finding sheds, it's a FUN forum. I'm not saying this to lure folks in so we beat CT for most visited state page this year or anything...)
