For those that have helped BOW in the past with our commissioner tag raffle I'm giving advanced warning that we were awarded a Bison tag (just found out today) and we will be selling raffle tickets for a bison tag very soon!!!!! The drawing is July 9th so it will happen fast. All the details are being worked out even as I'm writing this so keep in touch for the details. Thanks. Jeff Capron

No additional fees to the winner. Winner can sell or give the tag to another. Any legal firearm or bow. Hunter's choice of bison areas. Does not count toward the once-in-a-lifetime restriction. Winner will be contacted by phone or email on July 9, 2018.

I have been asked by a couple fellow bowsiters if this Raffle is like the Wyoming state Raffle as in you Win the Raffle but it doesn't include the tag, you have to Pay for the tag.
I told them I Do Not know if it is the same.
Any clarification?

Like Ron stated no additional fees except for conservation stamp and refuge permit if hunting on the refuge. I think tickets will be $50.00 so everyone can afford it. Hoping to have final details by the end of the week. Thanks.

Should be ready to go tomorrow. $50.00 tickets, only 500 tickets to be sold. Will have to buy them off our web site. We raised the # from our normal Commissioner tag raffle because this is pretty unique to have a bison tag and we only receive 30% of the profit to use on our projects. The other 70% goes to the Wyoming Wildlife Foundation so all the money still goes to Wyoming wildlife and habitat. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

I think for a bull tag it was 5.6% draw rate this year. If I remember correctly.

Quite a few available still. As of last night we had sold 181tickets (not bad for the first day) I hope we sell them all !!! It's just a win for wildlife that way. I know my odds go down but I won the Yetti cooler at the BOW banquet a couple of years ago with only a couple of tickets in the bucket so it could happen. Keep the faith everyone.

Wish I could answer that but I just don't know. I can't remember hearing any bison tags. Sheep and moose yes. I can tell you this is one of the first times I can remember giving the normal guy a chance at a tag like this.

I like the pricing of this at $50. Recently a muley organization was selling tickets for a nice drift boat, but at $100. I don't think that they sold out at 500 tickets. Just a little too much money, I think. Sometimes, I think it's better off to drop the price and more will participate. BTW - I got ticket #377 for this drawing. Good luck to all that got in.

Jingalls, you should get an email showing you your ticket numbers. In the past we've sent out the actual ticket stubs but with as much action as we've had on these, they may be behind or maybe decided not to mail tickets. I bought mine the first morning and haven't received them yet either. Regardless, the drawing isn't until July 12 and will be conducted by a G&F Commissioner.
