Ok, back filling... got a slightly late start leaving the house at 2pm with an hour drive to the nutmeg states north east area and some public land.

I'm finally in a tree. A spot I've only scouted via map. Part of a saddle into a valley, thick laurels north and south... but some nice fresh scat and fresh beach nuts out front 18yds... I dont expect to see much, if any, till after 5pm.

Why try a totally new spot on a post storm cold front day?
I pulled up to the parking for my favorite spot and for only the second time in over a decade a guy was already there. BUMMER!

Thanks guys. GL to u all as well. The wind is dicey and I'm trusting milkweed floaters. I'm right below a 25 foot ledge, causing the wind to swirl and eddy, but consistently... fingers crossed!
