This buck came in to some doe in heat gloden estrus. He walked in chest deep in a stream. I never heard him. He walked behind a tree, I stood up,lifted my bow off the hanger and drew all in one motion. He walked out from behing the tree and I released. It all happened in ten seconds. HE RAN UP THE STREAM AND DISAPPEARED INTO the cattails. I visually marked the last sighting spot and sat down to rethink the event. (much more info here) He was the new state overall record.
