Finaly arrowed my first elk! Shot him on BLM in the Breaks. Spotted him in the morning 2.5 miles from camp, so we backpacked down there and set up a spike camp, later that evening we spotted him and 4 cows, feeding a mile out. After a 30 min. stalk I was within 40 yard and arrowed the bull. It was 1:30am when we finished hanging the meat bags in trees to cool, and still had a hour hike back to the tent! spent the next day packing him out. Can't wait for next year!
