I had passed on a few bucks that were a little larger than this one, in an attempt to get one of two bucks in the area that were very large. The season was only 5 days, and I had been unable to close the deal on the larger bucks (normally due to interference from other people or cattle). Near the end of the hunt I was fortunate to take this buck before time ran out.
