Here is the finished mount and the story. This was a spot and stalk. A electrical storm had just passed when I got into position. Since I had been watching this bull for at least an hour I was calm when he stepped out broadside at 40 to 45 yards. The arrow flew perfect and penitrated both lungs. All said, the bull didn't walk more than 40 yards and expired in less than a couple of minutes. The 6x6 bull grossed 322 5/8 and netted 318 1/8 green score with only 4.5 inches of deductions, with the most being 1 and 1/8 inch difference on one of the brow tines. It was about 6:20pm Friday evening, September 8th and to my unfortunate luck neither my partner or myself had carried our cameras that day. The pictures had to wait until the next morning when the animal was 1/2 capped and already boned out. Oh well next time.
