I have been very busy working and haven't got out in a while, so I took the morning off, and I finally got out for A season shotgun today. Was setup In my treestand in another one of my Cockaponset spots, well before sunrise. At 7:15 I had a doe run up my shooting lane, and stop and look back. so I knew there had to be a buck following. 15 min later a good buck come trotting down my lane. I tried to stop him by bleating but he just kept right on going, had to shoot fast, before he got into the mountain Laurel . my shot looked like it might be back, so I quickly gave out a few hard grunts and he stepped out in a hole and stopped, so I took a followup shot. He only took one more jump and was finished. (First shot was back, second was through the heart) what an unbelievable season this has been so far
