I hit this deer 4 years earlier as a super impressive 3.5 year old. I called him "Hopalong" and every year since then I watched his antlers decrease and look weird. I finally killed him a still frosty morning. When I heard him I knew it was him due to the irregular cadence, and then I saw him. Hit him a little far back in the liver. The most un-impressive looking 7.5 year old buck I'll probably ever take. But he sure made me happy.
