This was the first good Coues deer buck that I had seen, but it was only 3 hours into the hunt. I decided that I had better not pass up a 25 yard, broadside shot on a calm Coues deer, especially a nice buck, so I decided to take him. As I was waiting to recover him, two other bucks came to water, both mature bucks as well.
