Applied 12 yrs to get this tag. Followed herd for 6 miles.. Was after herd bull, but called this satellite in. Took front chest shot at 12 yds. Watched arrow disappear inside him, he spun, staggered 3 steps & fell. Died in less than a minute! Severed top arteries . Shot him at 11, quartered & caped...all packed out at 7:30 that evening. Hiked 15 miles that day! My first archery elk....but not my last! Best part of the hunt was enjoying it all with my best friend...my husband!
