This buck cruised an edge and circled the downwind side of the draw I was on the edge of and I had not cleared lanes in that direction as I had never had deer use that side prior to this hunt. I dropped down a step on ladder to find a lane and misjudged yardage in open pasture. Not proud of the result of that attempt and learned. Tough recovery.
