Well, I've killed alot of deer with the bow but this is my first with trad gear. Samick Hawkeye take-down 50#, 2117's tipped with 100gr Magnus. I had to work this 'ol boy for about 10 minutes. All I can say is bleat cans rule! My heart was about pounding out of my chest by the time I actually got to shoot. At one point as I watched him through alot of thick cover just waiting for him to make his way to me, I just whispered to myself "man this is incredible". He was a pretty wary 'ol fella and took some persuasion with the grunt call, bleat can, and a little silence at the end to get him in :). He was quite a bruiser, 19-1/2" greatest spread but he was only a 5 point, go figure. Nice mass though.
