I had already shot clean over a forkie when this doe appeared. As she came out of the woods, she stopped and looked up right at me. I thought I was picked off, but I didn't move a muscle. She decided nothing was amiss and crossed in front of me into a shooting lane at 14 yards. The arrow only penetrated about 14 inches, but it absolutely shredded a lung. She humped off into the field, stopped, and tipped over. The other 6 deer scattered.
