Bought license 2 hours earlier as an afterthought on way to my Bull Moose hunt. With an hour of light left, arrived in moose unit and quickly glassed up a few moose and a herd of Elk nearby. Shot this bull 30 minutes later by raking and bugling him in. This "Colorado Herd Bull" was the biggest in the group of 70 Elk and acted like a Gila monster despite his size. Lotsa attitude for a small bull. Icing on the cake for my Colorado Shiras bowhunt--what a week with great friends!
