I just had to set this straight.I don't care who is in the white house I find it offensive when this or any other president tries to take credit for killing Bin Ladin in a fire fight.
So thank you Seal Team 6 and all of our United states military men and women.
Dogsoldier,
Kudos to these men indeed. There are no finer nor well-trained warriors anywhere!
I'm trying to find out what helicopter unit was used. My best friend's son is a Blackhawk pilot for the Night-Stalkers (160th Special Ops Aviation regiment, 101st Airborne) and this is the type of mission they are trained for.
It was team six of the 160th special ops aviation regiment and I'm sure it will come out who was involved. Don't mess with the seals. What a great outcome, not trials and millions of dollars spent on lawyers.

DITTO...you can say that again!
One thing is for sure. Those guys do not miss...any bullet holes in anyone or anything were exactly as needed by the person pulling the trigger.

Love the irony with this story:
Seals used a trained dog in the raid...and dogs are considered "unclean" by the Islamists. LOL
Biting back!
Hump Mo!
jack b,
Better they should have used trained pigs. ;^)
Straight Arrow, the hit rate for people trained by the Gunsite method is near 100%. The Navy Seals are firing quickly, in close quarters, and did exactly as expected. Great work. Now they just need to raid a few more houses.
SEAL team six supposedly has a practice ammunition budget equal to that of the entire marine corps.
After watching the video from jack b (mi) post and knowing what Team 6 has accomplished; makes one feel a little insignificant. Those guys are some real bad a$$ muthas!! I am glad they are on OUR side!
Also where did Boots find that photo?
I heard Rush say that a E-7 rank of the Seals with 12 years in the military gets an average pay of $54k per year. Compare that to the average pay of a school teacher with the same number of years who makes $55k per year and does not get shot at while doing their work. Many things in this life are not fair.
When Bubba left office, the budget for our Special Ops guys was abominable. "W" increased the funding almost 4X, adding more personnel, increasing training and significantly upgrading equipment.
Without Bush, OBL would still be alive,

Without Bush getting spec-op forces better funding, technology like this (link) would not be available--which allows success on missions with minimal risk and loss of American lives.
Real science rocks!
Here's our Embarrassment-In-Chief using the brave men of our military to promote his re-election at a ceremony for the Night-Stalker pilots. These are the guys who flew SEAL Team 6 in and out of their mission. As noted earlier, my best friend's son is a Night-Stalker pilot.
Jack, anyone? Do you know how to Photo-Shop this sorry sum-na-beach in the white shirt out of this picture?
jack,
This photo is of The Messiah congratulating himself at the ceremony for the 160th Special Ops Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne today. These are the guys who flew SEAL Team 6 in and out of Pakistan.

Let us not leave all who made the mission a success not honored. Obama and his advisors could not have had success without the Seals and...
you'd think the bald guys could take a rest in that crowd....
My niece worked with Seal Team Six (although she said they are not allowed to call them that...she told us their "official" name but I can't remember it) for about 2 years while she was in the Navy. Her job was to teach them computer skills. She has been retired for several years now. She had some good "stories" that she could share but I'm sure some that she can not. She did say that most of the guys she worked with didn't "look" typical military....many had beards, longer hair, moustaches....not the "high & tight, clean cut" that we normally associate with military.
solo,
It's more fitting, that's for sure.
But compared to the quality and decency and courage of those men, I think this one is even more fitting.
"My niece worked with Seal Team Six (although she said they are not allowed to call them that...she told us their "official" name but I can't remember it)"
offical name is Special Warefare Development Group or SPECWAR DEVGRU in navy abbreviation.
They just identified the shooter:
