When using a whisker biscuit, do you put the odd colored fletching up or down when shooting?

Up the black whiskers are to support the arrow shaft

whats the reasoning? They still have to pass thru the whiskers?

the black whiskers are stiffer so you don't want your odd color to on bottom

Fitzdogg, the black whisker's on the bottom of the rest are much stiffer than the rest. You could have your vane go through it but the rest is designed to be shot with the cock vane up so nothing has to travel through the stiffer whiskers.

ok,I just put one on my bow and have been shooting with odd down,it's been shooting dead on.Will it be affected if I flip the arrow?I guess I have to go home and give it a whirl.

Thanks confirmation guys. I always put the odd up, but never knew why - just was always told to do it that way. Anyway, I just won a shot and a beer with a hunting buddy I had a bet with. Cheers!

K,I shot when I got home and it's shooting the same groups.I can see how obvious it is now when looking at the fletches lined up with the biscuit,Thanks for the info.
