I have most of what I need but I’m thinking of what would be best for an outerwear jacket and pants combo. Also boots. I have all the base and midlayer stuff… polypropylene, merino wool, regular wool, fleece, etc., but was wondering what would be good outwear. I hopefully won’t have to worry about rain that time of year but there should be some good snow on the ground and temps will be below zero (fahrenheit). What would be good choices for the good stuff… KUIU, Kryptek, first Lite, etc.?
Also, as far as boots. I won’t be doing a ton of hiking, but will be in some good snow. I have big and heavy packs boots I use for late season stand whitetail hunting and some good Danner insulated leather boots. What would some of you more experienced guys recommend for footware for this type of hunt? I plan on wearing gaiters.
Thanks for any words of advice!
are you planning to bowhunt them that late?
Unless you really want to buy some new stuff. I'm sure any of the brands you mentioned would be fine as well. Don't forget head wear and gloves/mitts.
Chemical hand/foot warmers wouldn't be a bad idea either... just incase.
Good Luck!
