There are also a bunch of threads on this forum about that subject. Just search on "Newfoundland moose hunt".

I've heard a lot of good things about Ironbound Outfitters.

Based on my experience, don't go with a guide outfit that you can drive to. Lots of road hunting goes on during gun season with outfitters that have road access.

srp...I am not sure why you weren't able to see my PM, so here's basically what it said. In 2003 I hunted Moose at Tuckamore Lodge, just south of St. Anthony. I was able to harvest a good moose on the 2nd afternoon, with my recurve. At the time of my harvest I had seen 42 moose. Barb runs a first class operation, so you might want to check out what she has to offer. One of the best ran operations that I have ever hunted with. In 2010 I hunted caribou further south in the province. I saw far less moose there than I did at Tuckamore. I know it has been nearly 12 years, so maybe the numbers are down, I am not sure. But I highly recommend Tuckamore Lodge.

Hunted Tuckamore last year in their 'trophy area', 1st week Oct. Saw a total of 5 moose.2 were bulls, 1 button horn, and 1 3x3. Of the 16 total guys in camp, only 1 small paddle horned bull. It was not what I'd expected.

Ironbound. Helicopter fly-in. Very remote. Lot's of moose. Both archery and rifle guys all do well.

A lot of good, remote outfits. Search for other posts as reco above. You will find 2-3 great ones to pick from.

16 guys in camp?

Only way that would EVER work is if the outfitter had 10s of thousands of acres - boats and ATVs and many different directions to travel. Still that would mean some guys getting up VERY early to travel long distances.

The fly-in cam I went on only has 2-4 guys in a camp and 4 guys only if it's guys who know each other.

I hunted with Ray's last year and there were 12 hunters in camp. I thought that was more than enough people..
