Elkguide - I leave on Sarurday for my week on The Rock. Looks like they are calling for rain all next week - hopefully they are wrong for at least a few days...

Thanks guys!! Should be a blast the weather looks to be maybe breaking up, only a day or 2 of rain no but cold temperatures to start on Thursday. Few of the locals said the rut is kicking off...we will see I'll keep everyone posted!!!

Thanks Guys, I did the regular fly in hunt in a camp called Cochrane Pond that Bob Efford just acquired. They used it as a trophy camp the week before because according to guides it hasnt been hunted in 10 years. The rut had not kicked in while we were there and my bull actually had 2 other spike bulls with him at the time. All 4 hunters at camp got bulls with the smallest being a 33" 13 pointer. My father got a 20 pointer with 39" spread. Definitely be prepared to walk because it greatly increases your odds and there definitely not behind every tree. Bob Efford definitely runs a smooth operation and i would love to go back
