My buddy [AK Resident] also drew his caribou tag for the same area.

Cool. Me and my hunting partners didn't draw anything. A different friend drew a bison permit for the first time. Only took him 32 years of applying tondraw that bison permit.

Looks like I will be heading to Kodiak a year earlier! Can't wait to see this bear hunt go down. I will never get to hunt Brown bears. But you bet your ass I will be there to watch it go down. Congrat to all those that drew tags. Let the fun begin. Hunt

I drew last year and my buddy drew this year. Last year we were 5 for 5 on moose plus a couple of wolves and two bears. Shot my moose 20 yards from the tent. And 50 yards from the gravel bar/runway.

Yeah, kind of. We are doing a DIY drop camp & Stan is outfitting & flying us in. It will be fairly close to the same area where I killed my bull with Stan in 2014.

Copper River bison @1% AND a local mountain goat area five miles from my house that hasn't been open in years! Other area goat hunts also are about 1% draw odds.

Gary there are plenty of NR OTC hunt areas available. Go to ADFG website and begin reviewing hunts available by species...select moose...and then look at Nonresident hunts. There are several zones and you can be hunting moose off the road system for $500. If it was only that easy....
