What Happens To Elephants Killed In Afri

Word travels fast without cell phones being used.
The scavengers are going to starve.
Even the bones are chopped up and taken. So much for the antis claiming that trophy hunters waste game.
Another point is that even after it is long gone and you are 30 miles away, driving down a road, you will see lines of people "going to get elephant meat".
Not doubting that it all gets used, but the time stamps on those photos are BS. It only took one minute for the entire animal to be cut up all the way down to the bones?
man that would take at least 50gal of hichory barbecue sauce
Those pictures are a little strange.
They appear to be 2 different elephants. Look at the terrian in the pictures, it changes.
And look at the postion of the carcas; it swaps ends.
High vantage pic probably taken from the hill in the background of the first picture.

I could see that being a message time instead of a time stamp.
Something does seem weird about all the pictures though, I agree with Saxton that the terrain seems to change, the two shots from the high vantage point have different terrain in the background. Maybe it's pictures from two different elephants.
Plus they don't destroy the natives crop lands.
Bowmania
Ok guys the first and last are from the same vantage point. Now if you onto the knoll you can get the shot from above and suddenly the elephant swaps ends. Amazing trickery .
Still cool to see a stripped carcasse! That would feed a LOT of people!
I wonder how many hands got filleted trying to grab meat?
Reminds me of The Walking Dead. Zombies hear a gunshot and come running, nothing but blood and bone left.
The last pic of the wet spot in the ground, a much bigger wet spot than the elephant would leave of a bowhunter....
Hell most of the deer and elk killed here aren't stripped that clean.
Pretty impressive.
Great photos......
I just received several packages of 325 grain two blade broadheads over the weekend. If Pat and/or I are lucky enough to put one down next June, I hope to film the entire butchering process......including start and stop times....
If anyone else has other pictures of stuff like this, as it pertains to elephants, I sure hope that they will share them......if DL doesn't mind....., DL .......I don't suppose you have anything similar for a hippo do you?
BTW, who was the hunter that killed the elephant? Was it a bow only kill?
Jake,
That would be awesome! I would love to see that nearly as much as I would like to see you guys arrowing an elephant.
Love the conspiracy theories. Did not realize that they carried over to Africa as well. I thought it was just when someone killed a big WT deer!
Medicineman,
When you do the video and take photos, it is always fun to get an picture of all the knives. You will see some that are amazing. From small pocket knives to huge ones made from the leaf spring on a one ton truck. Makes a great photo.
BTW, your hunter will tell you, but make sure you get all the group photos etc. you want PRIOR to letting butchering start. Once it starts, there is no stopping that frenzy. Some will actually crawl inside for the best parts. Chief always gets the trunk! Stomach is used to boil it in. A small fire will be made to roast small parts off the temple and some is given to the hunter. It is actually quite good.
I think you will be amazed at some of the activities that take place around the carcass.
Great to see that there is no waste, ever notice that almost none of the poached elephants are used?
