Best Hunt Ever

This was my 5th and best hunt ever in Africa. Actually, as I think about it, it was perhaps my best hunt ever. One of those rare instances where everything comes together perfectly; logistics, hunting companions, lodge, staff, food, the quantity and quality of the animals we were hunting...everything!
Our hunt was with Harry Nel and African Arrow Safaris in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Harry has cobbled together some 100,000+ acres of prime, well managed hunting lands mostly owned by his or his PH's families.
Here are a few pictures of my new "friends".

Mountain Reedbuck. I'm told it is a really good one. Beats me, I'd never seen one before.

Red Lechwe. this is the only animal that we had to travel some distance to get as they were animals that liked a wetter local.
By the way, don't worry about some of the dates on these pictures. I was almost half way through the hunt before I figured out that I needed to change the date in my camera.

Warthog. Not much else you can say about these guys other than they are really ugly and really fun to hunt.

Thanks guys. I really feel privileged to have been on this hunt. I'm no rookie and this was the perfect hunt. What you are seeing here are just my animals. As a group we also took an almost 41" eland, a 35" eland, an 18" bushbuck, two nyala in the high 20's, a 54" kudu, two other red lechwe in the 27" range...it just goes on and on.
I've got to get back there!

Sounds like a fine hunt and you have some excellent trophies. That kudu looks to be in the high 50's and your handsome bushbuck looks like maybe a 16 incher! Congrats

Thanks. Kudu is 59 1/4". The bushbuck is a little deceiving at 14 3/4". One of the guys in our party got a nearly 18" one...huge!
