Many of the Animals you mount on these threads are animals I will never hunt so seeing the process is just amazing. Thanks as always for taking the time! C

Dennis , what are all the grey spots on the form? Adhesive?

Another great thread! Great work as usual Dennis! What a great main on this guy! Waterfowler, I think you are looking at clay that has been applied to cover holes from screw that were used to hold the pieces of the form together while it was foamed back together.

Great work, nice that you take the time to document each if the major steps....thanks for sharing! Great pose too. Reminds me of a big black maned lion in his prime that I watched in Kenya carry a 1/4 eaten wildebeest hundreds of yds to a shade tree. He stopped on the road in front of us dropping his meal and catching his breath for a minute. He looked just like your pose eyeing the tree which was another hundred yds. The muscles that rippled on that male when he picked up the 400 lb kill and proceeded to his tree were nothing short of spectacular.

These are great threads! Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!

Dennis looks great....nice proud pose....are you using some sort of a dremel to thin the lids?

Great work!!! Well done!!!

Thanks for all the comments. Sorry for the delay in response... I've been out of town at a taxidermy convention.

Brad, BO-N-ARO is right on. The spots are clay used to fill holes in the foam.

Adventurewriter, I use a sander to thin the hide along the seams.

Thanks,Dennis
