Needing a new rangefinder

My old (very) rangefinder has given up on me.

Some say that the Nikons will read thru mesh, so that's where I'm looking. Particularly at the Prostaff 5 or 7.

Anyone with experience with either of these?

I like the prostaff 5 .....it's not as sensitive as my leica so it reads through a little grass a lot better......I dont know if it would read through mesh or not but I wouldn't be surprised if it would.....I know my leica 1600 would not.

Reading thru the mesh is not really critical for me, but I do hunt almost exclusively from ground blinds, so it would be nice.

I typically range terrain features when I set up the blinds and almost never use the range finder when hunting.

The Leupold that quit on me had too many features and could be a pain to set up. I could live with a lot less features.
