I did a quick lion thread a while back. Here is the finished base work. I attached a link to the mount thread for those that are interested. Thanks, Dennis

That looks 1000 times better than that other lion that was on here couple weeks ago that thing was a mess
Excellent! I probably will never hunt Africa so this is as close as I get! Thanks for posting! C
Top Shelf, Dennis!
Nice work!
Awesome mount. You are truly an incredible artist.
Great lion and outstanding work!
Nice and as expected. The base work can make or break a mount and this one hit the mark. Simple yet classy and the colors works well with the lion. Another great piece of taxidermy work!
Great looking mount and base.
Great job, cats aren't easy
Thanks guys! Kevin, looks like i'm gonna have to do another brown bear thread in the near future.lol.
You hit the mark exactly with this one Dennis. As Bo-n-aro said, the base is perfect for this guy and the expression is something many who try cannot do right; but you have! Thanks for sharing.
your studio is a dead giveaway to your attention to detail . very nice !!!
City, I was thinking the same thing. When I get a mountain lion, I think this is who i'll have do it.
Cats are tough
That is awesome! Looks perfect!!!
Outstanding work, Dennis!
Thanks again for all the comments.
Bill, It is great to hear you consider me for your next cougar mt! I can promise I will give it the attention it deserves. I take great pride in my work and understand the hard work,preparation,time,money,ect... that goes along with the hunt. Your trophy will be in good hands! Thanks, Dennis
Dennis, are you sure that lion just did walk in while you had your back turned.
The "realism" is astonishing.
My best Paul
Dennis, beautiful mount. it really shows you take a lot of pride in your work. I admire you for that.Forrest
Nice job ! Looks like he could pounce !
Oh man I wish I would have known about you before I got my wolf done.... I still can't get myself to pick the thing up and bring it home. Instead of trying to find a place to proudly display it I'm trying to decide which of the back bedrooms to stuff it in.
Thanks everyone. It's great to see all the positive comments!
@nowiser - Sorry to hear that. To get something back that you are not satisfied with is unfortunate. Taxidermy should bring back good memories about the hunt.
Best of luck, Dennis
Thanks Dennis,
When I finally shoot that white wolf we've been seeing I'll contact you!
Your threads on this site are definitely some of my favorite.
