Lets see some trophy room pics! I know we've been talking safaris; lets see the results!
GB.....I saw your that buck on another thread. Are you from North Alabama?

Yes, I live in the Huntsville area.
Those are all real nice trophies. I work for Cook's Pest Control over in Decatur so I'm familiar with the area.
I particularly remember that gemsbok. Nice pics.

Here is where my game room started last spring.
We moved in to this house a year ago this week.
I did all of the stone work myself. Lighting, paint and barnwoods.
It is much nicer having 9' basement ceilings.
For a DIY job, I think my stone turned out pretty well.
This photo was from the old house. I built all of the pedestal tables, and rock bases myself.
I don't usually score anything, but was told that these three were all Gold Medal.
I've kept mine simple.

MathewsMan... That stone work come up really well. I remember when you posted some pics a while back...well done mate.
Still my favorate -- cabinet has inlays with the Sable's backskin. It is a more natural pose than with the chin tucked in. Anyway, I like it. It is pure Matetsi Sable as well, which are getting a bit rare these days.

Just a suggestion- If you will do a search thread on African mounts you will probably be occupied for days looking at all kinds of photos. There are some beautiful taxidermy work that has been posted on Bowsite.com
All bow kills from two trips to RSA. All the taxidermy work is mine as well.
There are a couple of new ones but this is the last pictures that I have taken so far.
Zimbabwe 2010. Advanced Taxidermy in Ontario mounted my tusks.
Oops....Sorry for the sideways picture. Had some of the Elephant leather tanned and made a couple of chairs with it to go along with the foot rest.
Oops....Sorry for the sideways picture. Had some of the Elephant leather tanned and made a couple of chairs with it to go along with the foot rest. Love the Sable mount.
You shot a powder blue elephant? That is amazing. :)
Love the chairs. Never even thought about how much hide you would have. I bet you could have done a couch as well.
Mine is under construction. I have about 9 months to finish it up before the mounts come home.
Hi Bill,
Yeah I guess the photo makes the chairs look that color. LOL . Although a baby blue elephant would be easier to spot in the bush! That was the closest they tanned the hide to it's natural color. They wanted me to have it dyed bright red but that was a big NO!
It took 140 sq. feet for the 2 chairs. The taxidermist in Zimbabwe started off trying to charge me $23 a foot for tanning the hide...got it down to $10 but could not budge them from that...even though it was my elephant! ...and yes....would probably have been enough for a couch. Got the chairs done in Canada once the leather arrived (2 years!!!)
What the heck??!!??!!
I went to attach a Elephant picture to my above post and another hunters picture (someone I do not know) picture is put in my post?
Whoever the hunter is congratulations on a nice Speed Goat.
Dal1 wicked lion mount! One of the best I have seen.
That guy Richie that posted his trophy room a few years back needs to put it up here. I have seen some incredible trophy rooms but that was the Builtmore House of trophy rooms.
After about forty years of trying I finally got my old college roomin to try hunting about six years ago. He went nuts and even built a "pool house" that contains a couple mounts.
Pete,
I would like to see some more pictures of that room. Looks great!
