cape buffalo problems

It's not uncommon to receive a shipment in from African with some sort of problems. I just finished a safari for a client that had horn damage on 2 cape buffalo. I'll post a few pictures of before and after as I did the horn repair.

I started by scraping and using a wire brush to get all the loose stuff off. I need a solid base for the epoxy and resin to stick to.

Pat, I would say soft boss was a big part but It also looked like the horns rolled over and may have been boiled.

That's a whole lot of work to get those bosses back but it also can be a bit fun to restore so much sp well. Nice Job Dennis!

I dropped off my friends Bison Cape on Monday at Dennis's studio while driving home from Illinois and saw all these animals. It is always a big thrill to see what's being worked on by Dennis. Thanks for posting.
PS: Also saw a few Bowsite guys sheep being worked on:)) Very cool!!
