Arrowslinger, is that the entire deer, meat and all? I'm always thinking of a new way to carry deer a couple miles instead of dragging it through the water. Maybe a 2200 is a good answer, would like to know how you do it...nice pics.

Here is a picture of 2200 loaded up with my entire muley from last fall. The pack weighed about 110 lbs with everything in it. It was rough, but I was able to pack the entire deer out in one 3 mile trip.

Does anyone ever pack additional gear in waterproof bag while using the 2200 or 2800? If so, what brand/model bag?
Thanks. Mike

Will the 2200 fit my 22" torso? I'm really particular on pack fitment. I have been through a JP9, X2, X1, Eberlestock's though extremely nice just dont fit me. Also anychance of fitting a small (380 ACP) handgun in the hip pockets? thanks fellas!

I have a 22.5 inch torso and it fits better then many of the bags that I have tried.

I don't know the model; this was 6 or 7 years ago when Badlands was pretty new (to me, at least). I picked the pack up on ebay for like $20.
Great pack, but short for my 6'4" height.

same pack a couple years ago- fits my son much better.
I've had to re-sew the straps on with Kevlar thread, but other than that, despite extensive use, the thing is in perfect shape. I'm going to have to run it through the washer though- my son left an apple in a plastic bag in it since last season, and when we got it down to use last week, it was full of sticky vinegar.

Moose quarter on a 2200 and another quarter on a BullPacs packframe. The 2200 is more comfortable than the packframe even if not quite as tough.
