Contributors to this thread:
Well guys, it's that time of year again. Bowhunters of Wyoming is raffling off another Commissioners tag, good for elk, deer or antelope in a unit of your choice. We've appreciated the great response from Bowsite members in the past and hope we can count on you again. You can fill out the form and mail it in with $50 or visit our website www.bowhuntersofwyoming.vcn.com and purchase tickets using PayPal. Thank you again everyone for your support. 100% of funds raised go to projects that benefit wildlife, habitat or education. Ron Niziolek - Extreme Elk Magazine
The drawing will be held the evening of March 29th.
What do those normally go for?
Maybe this year will be the year. One can only hope:)
These tags normally sell at auction for between 8k and 10k.
Thanks for the post. Quick and easy to buy hope i get lucky.
Scoot, If you draw your expected tag and win this tag from us then you get to hunt two tags. That's the nice thing about it. You could hunt different areas, different seasons, different species if you wish too. Lots of choices for the person who wins.
Once the WGFD issues you a tag it's yours, so no you couldn't turn that one back in. But you could use it on a deer tag for that area or maybe an antelope tag to use on the way to your area. Heck maybe you know someone that you could transfer the tag too and they could go with you, just some thoughts. Thanks for your support. Jeff Capron
Man that was easy using paypal. Enter phone number and done. Didn't even have to fill out an address. Thanks!
If I order 2 tickets under my account can I give one to my brother before drawing?
Link, If you ordered tickets under your name then you would be the winner. You could certainly transfer the name of your brother on to the tag if you wish though.
ok - so when you win what elk/deer unit would you choose?
Great. Got my chance. Between BOW, WY FNAWS, and the new Supertag I am feeling pretty good... :-)
Thanks Jeff. He wanted one but since I was ordering I just got two. I wasn't sure how that would work. I can only imagine how mad he would be if his ticket won but I had to go on the hunt because my name was on it. :)
A big thank you goes out Pat for letting us post this on Bowsite and to all of you that purchase tickets!!! We've been doing this a couple of years now and it would sure be nice to have someone from Bowsite win this tag this year. Thanks again.
Just bought 4. My odds are officially above 1%.
Definitely a big thank you to Pat for allowing us to post this each year. Eagle-eye, got your order. For those wondering, your ticket stubs should be in the mail tomorrow or Thursday. Thanks again everyone. Please feel free to spread the word to your hunting friends.
Thanks for working and answering questions on here Jeff. We have only sold 75 tickets so far. I know some are waiting for the draw in a couple more weeks, but it'll be hard to beat the odds for winning this tag. If you draw and win the tag you could hunt 2 Wyoming bulls this year! Thanks for supporting Wyoming's wildlife!

I know I am cutting my own throat, but I hope you sell them all Ron! Great cause.
2:75 I like those odds. With my luck I couldn't win with two out of three tickets. Hope you get them sold.
For those of you that don't draw next week here's another shot for you!!! Good luck!!
I just bought 4! Maybe I am feeling lucky. Which elk unit should I pick?
Here is another chance to get that WY elk tag if you didn't draw!!

Just got mine....good luck to all....if I win great, if I don't, at least the $$$ is going to a great cause!!!
+1 on the tag. Best drawing odds I'll be seeing this year! I've forwarded to a few buddies too...someone has to win, and you can't do it without a name in the hat! Good luck bowsiters.
I just got the list of projects that the procedes from this tag will go towards and we need to sell more tickets!!!! Over $38,000 so some won't get funded but we'll try to cover as many as possible. Thanks to all that have purchased tickets!!!
This is the last week for sales!!! Drawing will be held on Saturday night the 29th. Good luck to those that have their name in the hat!!! Take care.
Scoot, no need to worry because I'll be getting that call. Don't waste your time ;)
Sure hope that I'm calling someone from Bowsite. You guys have been great and thanks to all that have bought tickets.
I told a friend of mine about this and he asked me if this is an archery only tag or is it? Can you get a rifle tag? Bob.
This tag can be used for archery or rifle hunting. You pick the species/area and hunt within the season parameters set forth by the WGFD. Hope that helps.
Good luck to all in the draw. I'll be waiting for my call.
crap
I was meaning to buy a ticket or two but forgot about it!! Hope a bowsite member wins
Evidently wasn't any of us!
I am not so sure they had the drawing yet. They were not drawing till today/tonight.
I'm still waiting on my call.
ticket number 84 was the winner.
The winner was out of CO, but I can't remember his name. I'm sure Ron will post the name once he gets the person notified.
The winner is Larry Hansen out of LaJunta Co. thanks to all that purchased tickets.
I am not going to smart off and ruin any chance of good juju.
OK, so much for no smart@ss comments. I can use my tickets to light a fire in my back yard fire pit. (Along with my 2013 MT elk license! LOL!)
WOW I am going elk hunting in Wyoming this fall. Unreal. Thanks to B.O.W. for drawing my ticket and to Pat for helping them get the most money possible for wildlife. The search for where to hunt has already begun. Living in far south east Colorado I have no idea which is the best area to hunt and any help would be very welcome. Thanks to every one who bought tickets. I am sure the money will be well spent. Larry
Congrats Larry. We are very excited to have it be a Bowsite member! Thanks again everyone. We raised over $13,000 for wildlife projects in WY.
LCH,

Congrats LCH! Great to see a Bowsiter get the tag. Hope you are able to share the adventure here!
LCH congrats! You'll have a great hunt and remember post pictures of your hunt .
Congrats Larry! I hope you have the time of your life! Bob.
Congrats! Good luck and be sure to post up a story.
Congrats Larry! You owe us a Bowsite semi live hunt recap! LOL!
Good luck on the hunt Larry, and thanks to the B.O.W. for the opportunity!
It's awesome a Bowsite member won this raffle!!! Bowsite has been so good to us over the years. Hope we have the opportunity to do it again next year.
Decide on a unit to start hunting yet? Wow, what a dilemma to have! I'd be looking at 124.

An auction of donated items was held with the proceeds being used to help cover the day to day expenses of the club. BOW celebrated its 40th Anniversary at the banquet.
Midwest It is a dilemma, but what a fun one to have.I certainly never expected to have this problem. I have hunted antelope in SE Colorado for over 50 years so 124 certainly looks interesting for my skill set.
