Made the ute back at home in the shed, (gotta love being a farmer, with a dad that’s handy on the tools) Finished making the Ute-Back the night before I had to leave. Heading North Second morning – Stopped over at my Sister in-laws family station in western NSW where I hunted for the first time in well over 6 months due to having 2 shoulder reconstructions. I was fortunate enough to get onto a couple good pigs I had researched a few areas on the internet, google maps ect, so once getting to Qld I soon started door knocking an got onto a couple properties an put up the trail cameras lots of animals were showing up on camera which was getting me excited
Couple stags fighting I could never wait to get back to camp to check the SD cards, I cant imagine im the only one haha Ive had plenty of time in the bush since being up here with out any animals on the ground, however ive still had success of other kinds, such as stealing this honey from the bees, sweetest honey ive ever tasted The bus packed up after another few days in the bush This particular morning I didn’t come across any stags out in the open so trying to locate them in their beds was plan B After a few trips out there I had established where the deer numbers were predominantly, being a fair hike from where I could get the ute, I bought a bike to save the legs until I got into good hunting country. Stags starting to move in, this was 6 foot tall This one was 7 Foot tall MONDAY So on Monday the stags were really starting to make some noise, I got into 50yards before actually laying eyes on this stag. Moved into 30 behind a bush an started roaring back at him, this fired him up an he came around the bush an I put a arrow into him at 20 yards, he ran 50 an down for the count. What u want to see your arrow looking like how I found him New Oz-Cut Boradhead, such an awesome head.
I was actually in disbelief with the size of the hole for a 2 blade head. Hit him Sweet Propped up behind this awesome animal Caping him out with my havalon knife, such an awesome knife.
Solo hunter problems haha – if it cant be fixed with duct tape, your not using enough duct tape. The carry out BLOOD SWEAT BONE it only takes one haha Ive been testing out these Tenzing packs an seriously cant speak more highly of them! Hope you have enjoyed my past couple months, I have certainly enjoyed every second of being back out in the bush again after a long period of being side lined. I feel so blessed to have taken such a beautiful animal and he is currently at the taxidermist getting put back together. Nick

Got's to get me one of dem....
for the camera pic solo, get a 2-3" screw or all thread that fits in the bottom of the camera and tape it to and arrow stuck in the ground. Works great and again nice job!!!
