Thinking about buying a pair of these boots for September Elk hunt. Does anyone have experience with these boots? How are they sized....I've read elsewhere that they run about a 1/2 size large.

I have had nothing on my feet for the last 15 years but Vasque Clarions from the first day I put them on never a hot spot. I get mine 1/2 sized bigger.

Mine fit good and work well. However a month after I got them the glue holding the front of them came apart. Emailed them and got no response. Still use them after I fixed it myself.

I wear them every day. For work and for hunting until it gets really cold, which in Texas is below freezing. Usually switch to insulated boots then. No break-in for me whatsoever. Order my normal size.

Never heard of them until now, but they look nice - with a good price to go along with it.

They are very comfortable but I tear em up in one season, sole split completely in half.

Just ordered a pair from Amazon. Everything I read about them are mostly good and you can't beat the price. I'll report back after I try em out.

It is up to you and your feet. Just spent a morning at REI trying on many different boots. Some were painful from the start and the LOWA Renegades felt perfect from the start. Vasque's might be a great choice but....

After wearing these boots around for a couple of weeks I can tell you that they are very comfortable and for me true to size.....good ankle support, good insoles. I don't know how they will hold up in the mountains, but they appear to be very well made. Bought them as a backup to my Danner Pronghorns, but think these just may become my primary boot, especially in the warmer part of the season. Can't tell you how they compare to some of the high dollar boots, but for under $100 they're pretty darn good!

I hunted with Vasque Sundowners for many years and two pairs! A friend clued me onto them as Backpacker Magazine had found them to be the only boot they tested that survived the entire Appalachian Trail or something like that.... FIt comfortably, lasted well, etc...

If you're trying on Vasque boots, be sure to try on the Vasque Breeze also.

I don't think they come in a wide with. Am I wrong about this?

I wear EEE in most shoes/boots, but the EE Clarion fits me well.

I've had a trusty pair for a couple years-and like Dan, never a blister...so when I saw them for %40 off at Sierra trading...I bought another pair.
A good insole really helps these- I like Spenco cross training

I like them and wear them every day, but I've blown them apart. I wouldn't wear a pair into the mountains that wasn't relatively new, but I'm hard on boots.
