Looks like they like to get on top of those little ridges. Probably a nice breeze up there.
Wow............Looks like a line up a 14er on a holiday weekend.
Mouths open sucking wind...doesn't make me feel so bad about myself.
Ya they didn't like the elevation gain.
Great pics BCS...How far were you from them?
Across the valley, I have a DSL camera with a 50 optical zoom and it was maxed. Pretty far, I'm hoping to go out this weekend and see if i can get within 100 yds and then get some pics!!!
Post em up when you do. I will also be awaiting a pm on gmu #. :)
Forget the GMU, gps coordinates would be sufficient;)
Ya I'll post weekly and then daily GPS Coordinates as we get closer to opening day for everyone.
I just talked to a long time bow hunter and he knows of a bull that was within 10 miles of these guys that was killed last year and scored 405.
A little far away, big belly.
Back in 85 near Devil's thumb in Colorado I watched a big 6x6 bull at the top of a pass and he slipped and came sliding down about a 1000 foot steep steep snowfield, front legs splayed out, butt on the ice and snow. It was hillarious but that bull had to have worn off all the fur off his butt with that slide.
Also, I thoight I was going to see him crash to his death in the boulder field at the bottom of that snow field. Somehow unbelievably he righted himself at the last second and sidestepped and hoof jumped/caromed off car and house sized boulders until he hit the grass. Where he stopped easily, shook his head, looked back up where he first fell, and slowly walked around the edge of the snow field, and slowly climbed back up and went searching for his buddies like nothing ever happened. Not a limp or anything.
It was amazing to watch. One of those things you get to see that non hunters and anti's will never experience!!
