contact Bob Holder, he is the local DOW officer and has been in the area for the last 25yrs, he will know more about the Bosque than most. Best of luck!

Lots of roads, not your typical elk hunt but surely some giants on there. Most of the big guys get killed later in the season (4th rifle) as they come of the private then. A friend of mine hunted it archery a few years back and killed a 280 after hunting like 15+ days. It was one of the biggest he saw. Good luck!

Ditto on calling Bob Holder. Called him for info on my lion hunt and he was friendly and a wealth of knowledge. Had a friend who drew 1st rifle who saw quite a few bulls but didnt tag one. The later hunts are generally pretty successful and I remember see 3 bulls that would have pushed 350 and quite a few around 280 to 300 while lion hunting.
