This is how to do it. The secret? You have already shot an elk and have no tag.

Of course this always happens when you don't have a tag. Two years ago I was tagged out and calling for my brother-in-law and had a 370 7 point walk right by me. He was later shot by a rifle hunter, so that's how we found out how big he was for sure.

Bigdan, several years ago in the breaks had a bull coming in set up with your neighbor Steve, he hung up around 60 for a few minutes and did that "blast" and Steve nearly blew it thinking it was a bark and we were busted and it was all over.
Wasn't sure exactly what to do but just tried to mimicked him, gave it right back at him and he came in hard to 20 but no shot, couple more steps he would clear..... wind swirled. The cloud of dust meant busted for sure then.....
I think it's a "show yourself!" demand?

I would have liked to see the heard bull. Most satellite bull are not that big
