If hunting on Sept 9th, one will not need a headlight to see nor will the elk. The brightest "super" moon of the year will be shining.

Just took this picture as it reflected over Colorado.

My best, Paul

Ah, the "Super Moon" ain't all that. I put my thumb out at the end of my arm and it covered it up.

A few years back I was watching a full moon and a jet liner flew right across its image. Would have been a neat picture to capture.

I waited up until 2 am. this morning, had a few geese fly by in the full moon light, no plane.

Not even the ET gang!.

My best, Paul

Not the Super Moon but the Harvest moon over my friends barn in Vermont.

I think the lowly everyday regular moon is just Super Moon in disguise but I can't prove it!

The Rut happens regardless. Hunt harder and it will pay off! And you are correct 'IKE', Utah does not like Bowhunters that is why my $ goes to CO.

I use the full moon to snipe were-hogs. They really stir on moonlit nights.

I bet it is the same moon that was over Colorado, last night!

I found the color variation interesting. It doesn't show up as much here, but my original photo had almost a golden color to it. Nice pic Paul.

Lou you betterwatch out that "super moon" is gonna come hunt you down like the crazy cow moose you insulted...;)

Here's another color as it rose last night over Colorado.

I was antelope hunting one year and the moon was about 3/4 but bright and big looking. I put my Swaro HD Spotter on it and cranked the magnification. The moon filled the whole scope and I was stunned at the detail I could get...I could see the shadows shifting.

One of the best things about hunting is all the extra stuff we see

Wow, that color didn't come out here at all. It should be very orange.
