Question about Google Earth

When do they up-date the pictures on google earth? Or how can one get new and/or up-dated pictures?

Updated periodically, no real schedule. All versions of GE use the same pics, even the Pro version. The best overall SAT images available are from BING's satellite but there are areas where GE will be better. Several programs use Bing's imagery or basemaps. You can go to bing/maps and compare.

My new area has an image from Sept 4 2012 which shows all the camps then. The new imagery is from late October 2013 and there was snow, so it's worthless for my uses. I use the time slider and also Bing for better resolution after I dial in to an area.
