I know I read it here before for the solution but I cant find it with the search function.
I have the SD chip that I can see with no problem on my PC through base-camp on my PC. When I install the chip in my Garmin 60CSX it says "Cant Unlock Maps"
I have 3 chips and this one is the Rockies South Chip and the only one I have problems with. The others I put them in and they work with no issues.
So it works on my PC but not in my Garmin. I cleaned the contacts and that didn't work,
Any ideas?
Is it the very small chip or are you using the adapter to fit the chip in the 60csx??
I use the small chip in the Garmin and the adapter with the small chip inside for my PC
Mine I had to use the adapter with the chip in my gps and had to push it in and hold it in with some thing to make it work. But It worked then.

Piece of tape on the top side of the sd card so the clamp will hold it tight against gps contacts.
Ck, I tried the tape and that didn't work. I cant put the adapter in this GPS it doesn't fit.
Just went in on the PC again and the chip works fine there with the adapter. I can see all of my way-points, the maps everything. When I put it in the GPS a small red box comes up and it says "Cant Unlock Maps"
I just put my New Mexico map chip in and my Wyoming map chip in and they work fine. This Rockies South chip does not.
Any other Ideas?
Call them. they are very helpful trouble shooting problems.
I had the same error message with a card, called garmin and they said something was wrong with the card. Like kevin said they were very helpful. Had to send it back to cabelas and they sent me a new one.
2gig sd card?
Buy the sd card or make your own from the download version?
I bought the card not the download version. Called yesterday but they were closed. Problem is I'm on the road heading west right now.
