Got away for a couple of days and other than a couple of bugles right at dark last night, didn't hear a peep! Still hunting produced some close encounters with several bulls and even a shot (dang branch!!!) but not an elk sound was heard today. Can't complain by any means, it was a blast, but if they would have just made even a teeny weeny tiny bugle I'd be eating tenderloins tonight. Still hunting definitely puts the odds in their favor! Hope they are more talkative in your guys areas!

This is in the Snowies above Laramie BTW...

Hunted all day first four days. Only heard one bugle those four days. Heading back out for the next 8 days, hopefully they are a bit more talkative.

Hunting in the snowies too.

They're waiting for me!

In honesty, though, I did hear some bugling near the Snowies last week ... one bull trying to keep spikes and rags away.

But it's good to know that they're trying to fit my schedule. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen!

Well, I'm arriving on the Muzzy Opener...so the woods should be good and silent when I get there.

Bugles will be a bonus for me (for the first week)!

Best of Luck, Jeff
