Thoughts on CO rut starting?

I was up opening weekend and watched a solid 5x5 herding cows, chasing off a satellite and bugling his head off at 13000' ....in August! Just two days ago on Thursday night heard a couple of bugles, but nothing much else. Has anyone seen any significant rutting going on? My bets are on the week of the 21st - new moon and hopefully weather by then.

The amount of daylight is what triggers the rut. Weather can help with activity.
I killed a bull a few days ago. Bachelor herd of bulls. No cows.

Very slow in Northern Colorado, like last week of August slow. Still seeing bachelor groups. I think the pressure in my area is also keeping the bulls quiet. I have heard of a lot of activity in other parts of CO.
