Well happy to report my brother was able to harvest a great North Dakota elk! We have been so excited about this hunt since he found out he drew a tag last spring. Here is a pic of the big fella! We filmed most of the hunt and will have a short film out in a few months about the experience! The link is for a preview of some of the video shots we got!!

I have helped haul one out of E3 and seen several taken, but none with bow.
I am not much of a rifle hunter, but if I ever draw that tag, I will be shooting lead and not aluminum. Too much country in between those elk for my liking.

Z Barebow, in E2 you can hunt with your bow during the bow season and weapon of your choice during the firearms season. I'm not sure about the other units. That's what I did last year.

Nice...I wish the plains states would get more interested in allowing elk populations to thrive. We could really grow a lot of elk in ND, SD, NE and KS if we let them.
