Best elk pic ever?

After over forty years I got my old college roomy to take up hunting. About three years ago I got him to pick up a bow. We went elk hunting the second week of September in southern Colorado. The first two days he chased mule deer and killed a nice one. I was only hunting elk. The third evening he was bow hunting elk for the first time ever and this guy shows up at the waterhole I hunted the night before. It gross scored 397.5. The pic was taken by an I phone in truck headlights. Jim was very happy. This is not photo shopped. Storm clouds inbackground. He paid his way through college playing poker.

He doesn't even realize what he killed. The deer he shot he stalked for two days. No shot. Came back to lodge and deer started feeding 100 yds from the deck. They took a bad boy and drove 200 yds walked up the hill and the deer fed up to him at 15 yds. And had a video Grapher with him.

Nice! 397? That would be the largest bow killed elk on record in CO according to the CBA book of records. Unreal!

The outfitter Fred Harteis had the hunt filmed. Supposed to air next year on a "Hollywood Hunter" episode. I guess I'll be the color guy cause I got skunked.
