Arkansas Elk Hunt 12 year old son

I tried to add this to the original post of announcing he got the tag but I give up. So my son shot an Arkansas Elk on the opening day. I deleted most of this post to keep things positive about hunting on public land at the same time as cow hunters that tell you the day before they won't screw up your hunt. I want to say I'm thankful to have had the chance to hunt Arkansas Elk and I'm thankful for a really good kid. I think most will agree a kids rifle hunt is acceptable on here especially something as rare as an Arkansas elk tag.

Nice bull! Congratulations to your boy!!! I've been applying for an Arkansas elk tag since they started the draw with no luck. Hunted the private land area once but no elk. I've got a 10 year old son who is going to be in the youth draw next year. Wish him (and me) luck.

Excellent! I have never put in for the TN draw but hunted out west many years. That is a fine bull.
