So far so good. Looking forward to the rest................
Keep it coming! Great story so far.
This will be a fun hunt to follow! Thanks for taking us along.
Scoot. Your ND roots are coming in handy. Hanging stands in trees 4" in diameter should be 2nd nature! Looking forward to "The rest of the story".
I really laughed at your first photo...keep the story coming!!
I'm enjoying this too, Scoot. Great combination of pics and story. Looking forward to more.
Scoot, hopefully you enjoyed some of that free ice water with your first pic! Great story so far! I feel a hero shot coming on soon!
Thanks for saving this one, Scoot! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Best of Luck, Jeff
I have driven past that dino more than a few times:) Keep it coming.
Thank you for sharing your story and photos. Love the January live threads. It really gets me focused on getting ready for the upcoming training and planning. Hope to see a bull on the ground at the end.
Keep it coming, please... !!
Good time for a refreshing semi live elk hunt! Keep it coming scoot.
Great storytelling. Congrats to Rod. Gotta love those blowdowns while packing.
Looking forward to the rest of your story.
Great story, keep it coming.
Nice work so far, Scotty! Great winter read for someone down with the flu.
I can sure see the resemblance in the Engel gene pool! :-)
You're going to shoot a bull off that second wallow aren't you?

Not sure why I struggle so with bowsite and photobucket.
Excellent story! Thanks for posting it, Scoot!!
I feel for your brother, I'm from the mucky end of the gene pool myself.
Great story, and photos. Congratulations to Rod on his bull, now for the rest of the story!
Now that's Hunting! Great story.
Scoot - Yep. Like the constellation, I'm an archer, large and the darker it is, the easier it is to look at me!
Where's more of your story? I just read Legoman's adventure to the five year old and succeeded in inducing sleep(no small feat), I've got two in the homework salt mine wrapping things up, with accomplished dental hygiene and pajamas(no small feat). Dishes done. Laundry cranking.
I have a few minutes before the wife gets home from late meetings and I triumphantly show how I kicked azz...hoping to distract her attention from the new Fanatic jacket that I picked up off Camofire.
I was looking for your next chapter. You hooked me. Feed me more lines.
Thanks for sharing Scoot....great story and great hunting; ;ooking for the next instalments
Awesome read. Please continue
What are the dates that you were hunting? Sounds like early in the season with all the wallow sitting?
Awesome hunt. Keep it comin'
Your bird looks like a common nighthawk.
Scoot, you are a great asset to Bowsite. I really enjoy reading your write ups!
Thank you, Jeff
Great write up Scoot! Mike
TODDY's Link
Great read Scoot! I would agree on the Common Nighthawk. See my link. TODDY
Good stuff, Scoot!
I think it's a Tasmanian Monkey Bird.
Good deal! Thanks for posting
Naaah...it's a Goatsucker ;-)
Naaah...it's a Goatsucker ;-)
Damn.... keep them coming!
Really enjoying this, thanks!
Bring it on Scoot ! Good reading , and the pics ain't bad either !
This is just what we needed during the January lull!
Awesome story! Thanks for sharing. This one ranks right up there .
Man, what a great story! Thanks for sharing.
Sweet!
Scoot, Maybe I missed it, but what were your hunt dates?
Thanks....interesting to me that they were still hitting the wallows that well in the latter half of Sept.
Awesome story telling and congrats to all of you!
Great job, Scoot! Loved it! Congrats to all you guys!
I knew it! Beautiful bull!
Thanks for sharing and congrats on a heck of a trip!
Thanks for sharing. What an awesome trip! Reading this story make my decision between elk hunting on September or whitetail hunting in Kansas in November very hard. Congratulations to all of you.
That's a dream hunt for sure. Way to get it done, and have a blast while doing it. With the tremendous density of elk where you are hunting, did you find many shed antlers? Or do all the elk move during the winter months?
Congratulations, Scoot. Great bull and a great write up. I really enjoyed it.
Hope this fall treats you as well.
Great thread Scoot! Congrats to your whole crew as well.
Congratulations... great write up & photos!
...thanks for sharing.
Well done. I enjoyed every minute of it. Want be long and Ryan will be packing your elk out. Congrats. HUNT
What a great story! Congrats to all of you guys. Are porn star mustaches standard fare in Nor' Dakoota?
Well done Scoot! Thanks for taking the time and sharing your story. I will NEVER tire of your adventures. You have a knack and put in the effort to put them together.
Jason- Don't throw all of us No Daks under the bus! (Scoot jumped ship on us anyway. He is going for the Paul Bunyan look these days.)
Attaboy,Scott!! Tell Ryan football's got nothing on elk hunting ;)! Thanks again for the story
Great story and incredible photos!
LOL Scoot, unless you get a hip x-ray like Lou I'll just take your word for it!
Great story scoot thanks for sharing
Great read Scott!
Congrats
Good luck, Robb
Best story I've read in a long time. I'm a lifelong whitetail hunter with a dream of elk hunting. This story really gets me excited! Just trying to figure out where to start, thanks again for a great story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this!
+1 Don...looking forward to sharing the elk hunting experience before I get a whple lot older...

Great story! Well done.
Congrats! And thanks for taking us along....
A new Bowsite classic. Well done indeed!
Great hunt and write up Scoot!
Man if this story doesn't light the elk hunting fire in you nothing will!
Awesome thread Scoot! (Even though I can't see any of the pictures......I hate photobucket) Congrats again on a great trip!
Scoot, excellent job with the hunt and the photo-essay. We all need something like this at this time of year. Especially guys who work, so they can waste company time reading them, then researching where they're going to hunt next!
Nice work! Now get back to fishing!
Scoot - What an awesome trip. Congrats on the bulls.
Thanks for taking the time....great story
"It's entirely possible the story may have been put together and posted on a little of that company time too..."
Some guys do fantasy football, some do Spacebook, some guys do Bowsite.
When I was "Lone Wolf" in the business world, working from home, airplanes, hotels, and (gasp!!!) hunting camps, I always figured Bowsite was my way of taking coffee breaks to stay sane.
Nice work!
Just what my January needed! thank you
