IMPORTANT NOTE: Elk and pronghorn antelope draw application deadline has been extended. Due to the simultaneous failure of four servers—a highly unusual event—one hour before the Feb. 10 application deadline, the Arizona Game and Fish Department is extending the deadline to apply for the 2015 elk and pronghorn antelope draw until 7 p.m. (MST) Wednesday, Feb. 11. The Department is opening a forensic investigation of the event. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers.
The application period for the 2015 Antelope and Elk draw is open.
If you would like more information on the draw, please visit www.azgfd.gov/draw
The hunt permit application deadline for the 2015 Antelope & Elk Draw is now February 11, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. (MST)
Hunters applying online for the 2015 Elk and Antelope seasons may encounter an issue when attempting to input their hunting license information, but there is no need to worry, and applicants may go ahead and finalize their applications.
While applicants must have a valid license on February 11, 2015 to qualify for tags and to hunt, the online system is automatically populating the form with the last license purchased prior to the opening of the 2015 elk/antelope draw. If you subsequently purchased a valid license, you are good to go. When your new or renewed license number is sent over to the draw database, it will be attached to your records and to your application, and your application will be accepted.
Arizona Game and Fish apologizes for this confusion and is working to accommodate those who need extra help with the application process. Extra phone operators will be on duty only for application assistance from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 11th at 623-236-7424.
The last day to update your payment information is Thursday March 12, 2015 at 11:59 P.M. (MST)
Looks like the "loophole" to use last years license just closed!
What was that you said about the new servers, WBob? lol!
"Due to the simultaneous failure of four servers—a highly unusual event—one hour before the Feb. 10 application deadline"
YEAH RIGHT!!!!!
That "simultaneous failure" just cost me $160 and I wonder how much additional revenue the state of AZ will generate because of it...?
yea, I watched the commission meeting where they said the new guy was one of the best, then he said they updated everything, tested it all, etc, etc. I bought it, hook line and sinker.
Should never extend it! Guys would get the hint & apply before the last day! David
Mike, How did that cost you $160?
Cost me $160.00, too. The lady assured me I'd be fine, but I just couldn't risk it.
Better safe than sorry....good move IMO.
According to phone call, the lady said that it wouldn't affect us that had a license that expired on the day that the deadline was, not the new one.....
Elkaddict, that's exactly what she told me. I really wanted to believe her but, if she was wrong, I'd be set back two years. I should have two days leeway next year unless it resets.
Good luck to you guys. AZ is a fun hunt.
