One of the best videos I have seen. I actually want to go hunt with you now, which is something considering I kill plenty of elk. Looks like it was fun. From your trip was there any oh crap moments or any issues with you 2 not getting along? I bet killing the 1st day made things pretty relax.

Im glad you guys like! Only a run in with a big black bear up close, but he wanted nothing to do with us. We made sure we were on the same page, training and shooting together at home before we left and practicing calling setup and scenarios in the hills at home before heading out. My brother was just gonna come along to learn and see how I plan and hunt elk. I talked him into getting a tag, and he was still planning on helping me get one. He was surprised when I told him on the first day to go after his bull. He was pretty much on cloud 9 for the rest of the trip. Needless to say, I hunted a wherever and however I wanted to hunt without a complaint or hesitation from him. By the time I shot my bull, we were both beat. Learned the unit well and saw its potential. Best part is, we drew the tag again!

Congrats on the hunt and being able to capture it on such a well done video. That got me really pumped up for September. That is some rugged terrain. I can't wait for this New Englander to get back into mountains and bugling bulls!

Thanks for the comments guys! We were using a Panasonic HC-V700. cost only about $400 and fits in a pocket. We just upgraded to a Canon Vixia for next season. Hoping to step it up even more (with the hunting and filming).

Great video, gets me pumped for next year already. That sound of Elk bugling in the wild is just something that is hard to explain to someone who's never experienced it especially if you've had the chance to be smack in the middle of the war zone.
